Om Shri Ganeshaya Namaha.

It now looks like a distant nightmare. We lost some near and dear ones. Lived in constant fear and anxiety. Thank GOD that's over now.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were confronted with a profound sense of fragility. As the virus spread its grip across the globe, it brought with it not just physical illness, but also a collective unease that transcended borders and cultures. In the face of such uncertainty, many of us found ourselves searching for hope, solace and meaning in the midst of chaos.

Some of us recognised that in times of crisis, traditional avenues of support and comfort often prove insufficient. As lockdowns isolated us from our routines and even friends and family, the need for connection and spiritual nourishment became more pronounced than ever before. It was during this period of introspection that the power of group chanting and community spiritual practice emerged as a beacon of hope.

For close to a year, we huddled on Zoom every weekend, sharing hope and resilience.

We prayed, we sang bhajans, we cried, we laughed. We survived. We became better versions of ourselves.

Fast forward to 2024.

Some of us have come together again. For whom, the spiritual transformation accelerated through COVID and beyond.

This time not out of a dire need, but out of love and Bhakti.

We started Vedalaya to fill a crucial void by addressing the deep-seated need for connectedness and spirituality. At Vedalaya, we seek to draw strength from the bonds of community and the wisdom of timeless Hindu spiritual practices viz Bhakti and Kirtans.

As a community, we can serve as a beacon of hope and healing for all those who seek refuge within the supreme.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.
